Default remote spells on sieged province

I was wondering about the mechanics of remote spells on sieged province. In particular, if the nation A sieges the nation B and the third nation C cast a remote spell, who would be affected
- if remote spell is army killer, for example Murdering winter,
- if remote spell is province disaster like locust swarm, who will lose the gold,
- if remote spell is commander attack whose commanders can be targeted

And what will happen, if the caster is A or if the caster is B? Will it be the same as when the caster is a third nation or not?

And how the domes affect the casting? What is nation B mage residing in the sieged fortress casts a spell on the same province, will it be stopped by the domes existing on that province?

As far as I know (I'm no expert) - all offensive spells affect the owner of the province at the start of the turn (the start of the turn bit is important). If nation A sieges nation B - then nation A controls the province - so all offensive spells (and random events) will be cast on him, no matter who casts the spell. This is because units inside the castle are not inside the (rest of the) province. However - I don't know if nation A's protective spells will protect nation B from nation A's offensive spells - though I believe not.

I can't give you definite answers - but that's what I would have done if I had made the rules

Domes will work against all spells including those of the owner.
Fires From Afar, Earth Attack, Seeking Arrow will only target enemies, I believe. I haven't checked Mind Hunt lately due to its nasty Feeblemind side-effect, but it may also work. Vengeance of the Dead can, but I don't know what will happen if -your- commander there has the most kills.

In testing, if a third party casts an assassination spell like Seeking Arrow at an army besieging a castle containing a defending army, the arrow strikes a random person from either side.

If the caster belongs to either the attacking or the defending nation, then the spells in question always strike the opposing force, never your side. The exception: Spells that create a special monster attack, like Ghost Riders or Send Horror, always strike the person outside of the castle, regardless of which side he is on or who cast it.

If an attacker or defender casts a spell originating from the same province that domes are in, then the spell is never stopped: Domes only affect spells that originate from outside of the province. Normally, the attacker cannot cast spells while besieging a defender, because he has no lab, but certain items allow the casting of spells without a lab: These spells will function normally against the province with the dome if cast while inside the province itself.

Examples:
Province protected by dome. Defender in besieged castle casts seeking arrow at attacking army: Seeking arrow functions normally and strikes enemy army.

Province protected by dome. Defender in different province casts seeking arrow at attacking army: Seeking arrow may be stopped by domes.

Excluding at least (this I've tested) site scrying spells such as augury, maybe (fargone conclusion from too small experiment) even all spells that must target 'friendly province'. I've never tested, but since Gateway works only to friendly labs, maybe you could use it to move troops in domed provinces even if you can't Teleport or Cloud Trapeze (can target any province so domes block 'em) there?

And, the domes don't stop spells originating and targeting same province, so if your enemy is sieging your domed castle and you have lots of mages inside, fire freely. (I know I have)

Usually casters don't harm their own troops outside battle, but Wind Ride targets your own first. Dunno about the third party involvement.

Hm, it would be interesting if Gateway worked into a friendly dome. That would eliminate the need to have an un-domed lab near the destination.

Makes sense since the stated main goal of Wind Ride is to get your commanders out of bad situations.
