Default A Simple Way to Check Premade Pretenders?

I'm probably missing a simple button press or something, but is there a way to look at the pretenders you've made with the game tools without going into the game? I make a lot of imprisoned pretenders and it would be useful if I could get a more accurate picture of who they are if I've been away for a while. I know you can check out the blessings on your prophet, but that's only ballpark.

Afraid there isnt. There was a third party tool for Dom2 written in C that did that but I doubt it would work with Dom3

You might make a game named for the god and just hit END until he shows up. Then either write it down or just keep the game around for reference.

Yeah, I've been naming them for their paths, but the worship of D6 ENWF4 Chaos isn't quite as compelling as following King Mob.

Only current solution is to make a screenie of the magic and scales and name them wuith prefix nation_pretendername_id ...
Rather tedious ... If someone could make a small viewer utility (needs to have file format..)

This looks like a good place to make this Dom3 feature request: I want a "--loadgod" command line option or menu option. Use it and it drops you into the pretender design screen with the old god loaded there.

Right now, I see only 2 god actions you can take: create a new god and save to file, or load a file to use in a game. I want to be able to load a pre-existing god, edit it, and save it again. This would also satisfy the 'god browser' function Aleph is asking for.

Am I the only one who tries out a plan with a new pretender, and then decides it needs a tweak, that productivity scale is not helping much and I need more nature magic, etc. The only thing to do is start over with a tablula rasa and build from scratch again. What? I have to write it on paper, or hope to remember if it was A3E3N4D2 or A3E2N4D3 or ...? It would be _much_ better to just load the same god, click a scale, click magic, save under new name.

that would also give your opponents clues of what they are up against.

Strongly agree that a 'view god' option is urgently needed. or better still, a 'edit god' option in the 'Game tools' menu.

While we are at it I wouldnt mind if I could save a god from my solo games after I decide its a good build.

Yeah, that would be good. I typically start some test SP games before I start a PBEM game, but in the current setting, this means using the counter-intuitive "create pretender god" interface. Some "export pretender god" feature from in-game would be a godsend (pun intended).
