Did you replace space with ocean? Planets with islands? Or is it a naval "feel" but in space?
More of a naval "feel" in space, with weapons
corresponding to turret types found in those
battleships from the 1906-1945 era.
Here's a full list of all the component enhancements in the mod, with additional
details showing you the "low end" of my
naval component enhancement mod, compared
to the "high end".
If the component enhancement has an asterisk
next to it, it means I borrowed it from a
mod by a different author.
Component Enhancements:
Normal Double Turret (25% more tonnage, but 2x more firepower than normal mount)
Medium Double Turret
Medium Triple Turret
Medium Quadruple Turret
Heavy Double Turret
Heavy Triple Turret
Heavy Quadruple Turret (3x the tonnage of normal
mount, but 1,600% more damage than normal!)

New Vehicle Types
Most of the original vehicles in SE IV have
undergone tweaking, to make smaller ships
more capable of dealing out whoop ***, and
bigger ships have been changed so that
for example, a battleship will cost you
about 40,000 minerals just for the base
hull, representing the enormous influence
and prestige that these types of ships
held from 1906 to 1945
Stealth Destroyer
Escort Carrier
*Battlemoon
*Ark Ship (beefed up colony ship)
*Heavy Bomber
Stealth Fighter
Orbital Platform (Blurs the line between satellites and starbases)
*Prospector (mining ship with low maint. cost)
*Exploiter (see above)
*Mining Outpost (see above)

TROOPS
I totally tore out the guts of the ground
combat system...you now no longer have
"small troops," "medium troops", or
"large troops" but:
Battalion
Regiment
Division
Corps
Army
representing your units, with "Elite" and "Conscript" units allowing you to make badass
assault troops for storming planets, and
conscripts for garrison troops.
I also implemented a quasi-newtonian system
independently of Pirates and Nomads...
MORE WILL BE REVEALED LATER...
