No one should be having problems with AIs when it comes to retreating. You simply station your task force in the sector that will be their line of retreat. Then you send in a single sheppard dog...

I can't play SE:V at work, since the game takes over the desktop and it is problematic to switch from it to the desktop... especially in the middle of the turns.

CK, I thought it was odd that when I went into the settings file of the balance mod I found "my" settings already there. Well now I know they were really yours. =)

I tried this adjustment and I didn't notice a drastic difference (maybe no difference at all).
I'm playing the balance mod. I forgot to check it's setup files to see if it had a sound file that...

So I've noticed that I'm having to zoom into my ships during combat in order to hear them fire and such. I'd rather not have to do that, so I was wondering if there was a sound distance variable...

I'm in complete agreement with Atrocities.
I'd like to add that the main reason people are becoming use to the new UI is because of Shortcut Keys.
SE:V is completely dependent on shortcut...

This only occurs with the planets that have your breathable atmosphere, otherwise it is pure reproduction.... unless you have a treaty allowing foreign breathing races to migrate.

How about when you right click there is a submenu that you can change the size of the items?
simply clicking on the bar at the top should be a bonus/easter egg shortcut explained in the manual for...
