I think that is the idea. It basically limits the AI to 2 useful projects that have all the points devoted to them.

Heavily armored, high damage Ratings and no damage at ranges 1-4.

Hotseat is also an option if you are lucky enough to live near some players.
This game is definately one of the best human vs human games ever. There are so many ways to win!

I've tried some finite resources games. The AI can have a hard time in long games because you can deplete a planet of resources. Early in the game the way the AI builds colonies actually helps them...

If you are lazy like me you should have some storage in case you lose some resource producing planets or need to rapidly expand your fleet or upgrade you empire, 400-500k is usually more than enough....

The filler tech are cheap, 2 points I think, so you don't waste very many points on them.

That is a very powerful project and probably either too successful or too cheap IMO.
The AI doesn't use Intel as good as a human player. I usually remove it from the game if I'm playing solo.

You can change the mine cloaking, works good against humans. I don't think it would have any effect on the AI, it seems to like blowing up mines with ships!
Just change the cloak level on the level...

Check out some of their designs on a high tech start! 4000 points of shields, shield regenerators all over the place, packed with weapons. I don't look forward to meeting any of them.

Does the solar sail use supplies, since it is acting like an engine?
Does it hold supplies? If so, you can give the solar sail the solar panel ability to replinish supplies after combat.

I think it related to the vehicle file modifiers and units being stracked in the same space.
There are only a few types of units that can be in the same space, fighters, WP, mines and sats I think....

How about something in the anger file that recorded a history so you could also develop a rivarly during a game. Treat a race badly and they remember it!
